Examine the apples after 24 hours. If they have not dried yet, put them back in the dryer. To prevent the apples from drying out too much, check them every 6 to 8 hours. The time it takes to dry an apple with a dryer depends on the thickness of the apple slices, but it usually takes between 24 and 48 hours.

How to preserve dried apples

Pour them into glass or plastic containers with a lid, leave the apples open in the container for 3-4 days to ensure complete drying. In the first week, shake the jars several times a day so there will be no moisture in the apple slices.

Decreased volume of dried fruits indicates that they are not completely dried, in which case you can put them back in the open air or in the oven to dry completely.
