Palm tree dates or simply “dates” are a very nutritious and rich fruit. Dates are rich in fiber, vitamins (vitamin A,E and C), minerals and antioxidants. Dates have many health benefits but this article considers the effects of dates on stomach.

Dates are rich in fiber so they may help the digestion process and prevent and cure constipation. To cure constipation you can drench 6 or 7 dates in boiled water and drink it two times a day.

Dates fruits have a desired effect on reducing stomach acid. Gastric acid or stomach acid is a digestive fluid with a pH between 1 and 3. The function of gastric acid is digestion of proteins by activating digestive enzymes. But sometimes this acid is too much. Date fruits can regulate the gastric acid secretion.

You can mix three fresh and squished date fruits in boiled water then drink it. This drink can regulate the gastric acid secretion.

Date fruits are also good for acid reflux. Reflux happens when gastric acid of stomach enters to esophagus. Eating 5 date fruits a day can prevent reflux and cure stomach pain.

Remember cookies made of date fruits are not very healthy and nutritious like date fruits are. The sugar and calories in such products may have unhealthy results.
